I work for a large healthcare organization in Northern California, and today at a clinic meeting one of the doctors reported back from a company wide physicians’ meeting. And apparently they’ve already seen a flood of requests at obgyn clinics for birth control and/or sterilization procedures. So that’s nice.

 

There is no chance that Obamacare lasts through the summer. None whatsoever.

 

I hereby cede Allegheny County to the Greater South Ontario Co-Prosperity Sphere.

 

I imagine support for Cascadia is rising dramatically in the US portion of this region.

 

I'm assuming the House goes R as well as the Senate. They'll repeal the ACA regardless of whether their concepts of a plan or they have a healthcare shitstain on a cocktail napkin of a plan, whatever -- Trump wants to kill it and have the last laugh against McCain. Nobody cares what will happen next, because it's not "socialism".

 

If the ACA was socialism, Blue Cross wouldn’t be raising my rates so much.

I just got called out on Facebook for not respecting the office of the president or some shit. "Are you a man or a they?" also got used.

She also asked, and I quote: "...unless you're part of the decisiveness."

I promptly reminded the toolbag of all the "Let's Go Brandon FJB" stuff before using the "Cheetolini" word.

Upon a refresh, the notification disappeared. I'm sure I got a laugh react or something.

I guess the fragile snowflake blocked me...but I thought they didn't like snowflakes.

Ironic, isn't it?

I plan to do a lot of "Let's Go Brandon" reminders these next few years.

 

It would have been easy enough to secretly call the cops and then "happen" to "delay" the food until the cops arrive.

Dunno if it's already been posted, but Clark County, Ohio -- and no, I'm not going to tell you why that county is being singled out, you're an adult and you're on the Internet so you can do a bit of research -- had one of the largest swings to Trump of all Ohio counties in 2024.

This is exactly who we are and I am so ready to see people reap the consequences of their decisions.

Repealing the ACA through defunding it is an easy thing to do. Life is about to get harder for most Americans.

Destroying the civil service? Probably not -- those people *do* things that matter for the economy.

Been sitting in LAX waiting for my red eye back home and contemplating.

It occurred to me that there is a strong possibility that Trump won’t kick off a tariff trade war with China…and perhaps I overestimated just how stupid he is. I mean he’s stupid…I just wonder how much of his idiocy is because he knows his audience.

In 2016 he promised to build a wall and he was gonna have Mexico pay for it. His stupid ********ing audience ate that shit up. They ********ing loved him for it.

He didn’t follow through. He “tried”…but perhaps that was just for show and he always knew he wasn’t going to do it…he just knew his supporters were too dumb to know it.

Fast forward to tariffs. His supporters ate that shit up. Because they’re too stupid to know how bad it would be. But it got him their votes. He doesn’t give a shit about keeping promises to his voters.

He also knows that it’s far cheaper for China to pay him off personally than to get involved in a trade war that will ultimately damage us both. A couple of billion…or multiple couples of billions to trump (or his kids) is all it will take…and Trump will do anything China wants. And he’ll convince his dumb ********ing supporters that it was a great deal.

So…no…I’m starting to think that shit isn’t happening. There is far too much money for the oligarchy to lose.

The Project 2025 shit? Sure. As long as it isn’t damaging to the economy. Deportations? Perhaps…but not to the point that it wrecks the economy. Just enough to show it being done like the wall. The DoJ shit…absolutely.

This isn’t a bright side post. It’s just pointing out it’s a lot easier to control a population if the economy isn’t completely wrecked. And Trump…as dumb is he is…may be smart enough to understand it. Certainly the oligarchy is…and they may be able to tell him…or convince him…using the same method China would.

 

I’ve been thinking something similar, I expect he won’t even attempt a fraction of the stupid shit he said he’d do. I get the sense his apathy has only increased since his last term and a lot of those things he promised will sound like way too much work.
