End of Over 14: 65-2, runrate=4.64, reqrunrate=5.50 (262-5) Harewood 2-0-8-1 Spearitt* 1 (2 balls) Mapie 21 (32 balls) Last Wicket: Olivier lbw b. Harewood 38 (FOW: 64/2) Olivier is gone, which is crap. Don't think I'm going to win this one. Conroy has to step up HUGE.
End of Over 26: 107-3, runrate=4.12, reqrunrate=6.50 (262-5) Hamilton 8-1-31-2 Spearitt* 25 (34 balls) Conroy 0 (2 balls) Last Wicket: Mapie c. Connell b. Hamilton 38 (FOW: 107/3) and there goes any chance of winning this match. going to have to put this one down as a "WTF" match
I had an interesting experience today, as I was able to beat a superior batting side (in depth, at least) with my bowling. I'm used to having mediocre bowling and relying on Sarge to knock it about the park to win my matches. Today, howzzat had exceptional/exceptional top and middle order. My order is a little harder to decipher because of how I spread people around, it ended up with sensational middle order and strong lower order. My bowling of remarkable/wonderful edged their quality/(none).
shocked to have bellissimo like this.. End of Over 22: 66-6, runrate=3.00 Butcher 6-1-22-2 Gilks* 10 (9 balls) Jack 0 (2 balls) Last Wicket: Matthews lbw b. Butcher 17 (FOW: 66/6) just hope my batting doesn't fail me.
End of Over 17: 59-3, runrate=3.47, reqrunrate=1.09 (94-10) Ningi 4-1-5-0 Conroy* 4 (6 balls) Spearitt 5 (29 balls) Last Wicket: Harris c. Dharmasiri b. Matthews 16 (FOW: 52/3) knowing my luck I'll lose. figures this would happen
i'm very confused by the first 3 overs today... End of Over 3 (Maiden). The Flintstones: 2-3, runrate=0.67 Rose 2-2-0-2 Dempster* 1 (4 balls) Sam 0 (1 balls) Last Wicket: Mason c. Mapie b. Rose 1 (FOW: 2/3) i'm playing my god awful spinner as an opener and he took a wicket already.
good lord. he's got two good opening bowlers, but both are at fresh fitness, and they are destroying my bats... End of Over 8 (1 runs). Cook County Cricket Club: 18-4, runrate=2.25 Mabaso 4-2-8-2 Black* 1 (2 balls) Olivier 1 (2 balls) Last Wicket: Mapie c. Crowther b. Mabaso 9 (FOW: 17/4)
bought a guy to train at the beginning of the season. he wasn't that good, but paid 400k for him since he was trainable. got a few pops out of him and decided to sell him before he ages and he went for 2.5 million! Now if I get a good YP I can train a West Indian
finished 2nd in OD league by NRR - that bloody 4 run loss away to the team that finished 4th cost me promotion this season team that is coming down from IV (according to the tables posted on sledging) i should be able to handle, he has 4 good players (a keeper & 3 bats) - luckily i have 3 good bats & 3 good bowlers promoted into IV FC - hope to stay in that league next season & get OD promotion as well. going to take on a new bowling trainee to start what i am labelling the 'training factory'
Norse posted a perfect record in first class play (and only a couple of batting points short of a perfect point total). We'll be promoting to II in that form for the first time. A single loss (to a team that later went bot) plus a bit of NRR cost us autompromotion. Our reward is a matchup against Batty Men. Looking at their ratings, it will be a big challenge to win, but I'm not completely certain I'm ready to be promoted in both forms at once anyway.
It wasn't enough to get by Batty Men, but, um, wow. Batty Men Norse Athletic Club Top Order: sensational elite Middle Order: remarkable superb Lower Order: abysmal woeful Seam Bowling: exceptional remarkable Spin Bowling: elite exceptional Fielding: competent mediocre Of course, I did that with a GFI! plus stacking all three of my best bats at the top of the order, but it's still pretty cool.
Yeah, I'd noticed that. Maybe you can confirm or deny this, but it sure looks like Batty Men sandbagged on OD play. I can't imagine they wouldn't have finished higher if they'd consistently posted ratings like they had against me.
i'm trying to figure out how he got an elite spin rating with his spin bowler. He may have sandbagged his last ODer because he knew he was in a playoff no matter what. Ollie had a double pop today in batting and concentration. Bernard Olivier - 20 yo, BT Rating=110,909 LH Batsman, LM Bowler, superb batting form, respectable bowling form, sublime fitness. An attacking player with proficient leadership skills and feeble experience. Stamina: superb Wicket Keeping: worthless Batting: masterful Concentration: exquisite Bowling: abysmal Consistency: competent Fielding: remarkable i'm thinking of keeping him on two batting nets until he gets to elite
