Assuming Con Houlihan ever wrote for the (now defunct) Irish Press. He's had a column in the Sunday World for years. The O'Leary in the Sunday World they refer to is David O'Leary.

How exactly am I supposed to know all of the sports writers? Having been to both Ireland and England twice (the second time was biking, so there was no TV, and usually no newspaper), so basically 12 days in both countries with a TV or newspaper, how am I supposed to know that?
Other wise thanks for clearing that all up
I know, ex-Arsenal defender, made the penalty to beat Romania (it was also his 1st ever), was Leeds manager, now is Aston Villa manager

    "Pulkas, Besinoz, "

It's Puskas. Google him to find out how great he was.

Vladimir Bessonov - excellent full back from Dinamo Kyiv, on the USSR team in '88 and '90.

Great effort. Very good in places.

    Some points:

    1. While it's great to see the clips from WC '94, the song really only focuses on Euro '88, WC '90 and the qualifying campaign for WC '94.

    2. 'The six hour boat trip' is from Sardinia to Sicily, not Ireland to Sicily. (Considerably longer - a week+).

    3. Other than that, all you need are clearances and you can sell it. :) (Clearances would cost lots.)

BTW, BS abbreviates the url in the thread. You have to hit the quote button and copy the url from your post directly, rather than from the thread. If you know what I mean......

Yeah, I guess that it wouldnt be 6 hours by boat from Ireland to Sicily. I dont think that I have enough videos from those 2 competions to only have those clips, but I will check (also, most of the same players were playing in WC '94, so it should be that bad, though Keano and Holland's goals may have to go). As for the selling part, I dont have much in the bank, so that probably won't work out.
EDIT: I just checked. 2 goals were scored in Euro '88 (Houghton and Whelan) 2 were scored in Italy (Quinn and Sheedy). There was also the Penalty shoot-out. Also, I used the goal from the Lansdowne Riot, so that was a few years later as well. I dont feel as if I should use clips from the loss to Italy or the loss to Egypt. If I could get some clips from the Qualifying that would be excellent.

Thanks for the input and advice.

EDIT button is gone. I reuploaded it with the 6 hour boat trip edited, though I didnt change the clips.
