Agree. We are much more fluid. Yep, kleindhienst has traits of a proper center forward. His movement and strength is brilliant. All he needs is a first goal which will elevate him further.
Undav is best utilised off a forward. Against Bosnia he played off kleindhienst whose movement created alot of space for Undav. For me Fullkrug and Kliendienst as the main center forwards.
I think its still open, in 1st match vs Dutch the 2-2 D, Undav played sole CF and had 1 goal and 1 assist in that match. So he can play with or without partner. We need to see more of him playing sole CF in NT. Undav in XI=3 goals and 1 assist in 2 games, productive in 2/2.
Group table after Matchday 4Germany have secured their spot in the Nations League quarterfinals pic.twitter.com/5ozcQQUBvb— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) October 14, 2024 so we know that the Dutch aren't a real issue and then add that Pengland is in League B, LMAO. That's 2 rival countries that should be less of a threat to win. I'm glad we qualified better to practice QF-onwards round than play friendlies in March.
Hope I dont put the mockers on him. We have a potential Great Player in Pavlovic. His ball retention under pressure, his calmness on the ball is unique, For a guy of his age.
on topic of Undav, I mentioned in past before he got NT call up that he reminds me of Volland. both are 1.79m tall bulky tanks like CFs but that Undav had far far more potential than Volland and more complete game. and more importantly Volland was 100% ineffective for NT could never finish its why Low never had any patience for him. my post from Nov 2023, "he's a more rounded version of Volland, same height, similar build too but more promising tbh. Yeah Undav can play sole CF and also 2 man CF, both."
one thing I like about Nagelsmann as a coach is he looks to be back to his Hoffenheim+RB Leipzig days where he can make almost any player fit the system and look good. there was always talk about how players who excelled under Nagelsmann's tutelage flop or go downwards once they leave him. Even a Werner's peak career was under Nagelsmann too. when was last time we had a coach in NT who could make any player look good, LOL. Last time was Low era during end of peak times aka CC17. Low's blunder was that he never was able to integrate the CC17 with the core team. And Flick was HUGE L when it came to integration and core team. like Andrich, Gross, Leweling, Kleindienst, Undav, Mittelstadt, Pavlovic, Stiller, Burkardt etc. Some if one wants to be honest would likely NEVER EVER have gotten NT call up if one plays the World class-Elite or bust mentality but all looking to perform, LOL. I think Nagelsmann not having to bother with Neuer, Gundo, Muller, Kroos, etc anymore could be a benefit as I think most of these were downwards trending. this is what we need, a team where it all feels seamless and not a HUGE mess.
Baumann showed good ability on the ball. His performance was pretty positive. He's a good back-up to have.
he's managed the transition really well IMO In his first purge he kept enough of the core for stability, and gave the team an identity around a recalled Toni Kroos instead of the failed Kimmich+Goretzka era Now he's moved on completely, but i don't think he could have jumped straight to this point. Guys like Andrich, Wirtz, Musiala, Schlotterbeck who were still pretty new are now the old faces with only a couple of veterans in Kimmich, Gnabry and Rudiger.
This is worrying. Fingers crossed nothing serious. https://www.getfootballnewsgermany....r-leverkusens-florian-wirtz-in-germany-clash/
How funny is that Germany started to look solid when Julian decided to revert to the basic approach in football i.e playing with a proper centre forward. Just stop with the KH7 experiment, he got no business in the starting eleven. As for now, he's an option coming off the bench.
The pressing is also far better coordinated and we can actually counter more effectively as well. Two more basics that were almost non existent in the last couple of years

That for me is the main improvement - all the structures work properly - and when you bring in new players they can just do their job inside the system
problem with Bayern is they have 0 patience and no real interest to build a project with any coach long term. Tuchel then bombed all 3 competitions, LOL. Flick was axed for sake of Brazzo/Kahn............who both later on got fired themselves, LOL.
