Wait until after the winter break, that's usually when things change. All their young players will get crazy money thrown at that by the big boys and Plzen will come back down to earth.

Plzen are now 9 points clear! They are building up a nice little cushion. Sigma lost their first game of the season last weekend, 1-0 away to Teplice.

Sigma plays Sparta tonight, and I see a draw as a likely result. At the very least, Plzen will be 9 points clear of 2nd place after tonights game. Plzen won 1-0 away to Slavia.

    Other results from the weekend,
    Pribram 2 Ceske Budejovice 0
    Teplice 1 Slovan Liberec 0
    Banik Ostrava 2 Slovacko 1
    Brno 1 Hradec Kralove 2
Jablonec 2 Usti nad Labem 0

Sparta won 1-0 in Olomouc last night thanks to a 90th minute penalty.

Plzen finally lost on Monday... 4-3 away to Mlada Boleslav. Plzen now still sits 9pts clear of second place.

Plzen are now only 4 points ahead of Sparta, as they lost 1-0 away to Bohemians 1905 and Sparta won 2-0 at home against Ceske Budejovice. Sigma Olomouc won 3-1 at home against Pribram and currently sit in 3rd place.

The last two games are being played tonight before the winter break (training usually starts up during the first week of January).

    Brno vs Ostrava
    Teplice vs Jablonec

Jablonec, with a win, could draw level with Sigma Olomouc for 3rd.
Brno vs Ostrava is an important game as both teams are struggling at the bottom of the table. If Brno wins, Slavia would drop into the relegation spot!

It started on November 21st (or so), and winter training will begin around January 4th for most clubs.

Sparta Prague has advanced out of the group stage for the Europa League. It has been a long time since a Czech club has done that! They will play one last game at home next week against CSKA Moscow.

Most, if not all, 1st division clubs began their winter training today. The first outdoor games will be played on January 8th. I might head to Brno on Saturday to catch the Sigma vs Brno game in the Tipsport Cup. I'm itching to watch some live football again.

It will be very difficult for them to advance further, I am afraid. They are much like Debrecen in the Champions League last year. A good side in their domestic competition, but really over matched in the latter stages of world competitions.

Although I will say, Liverpool are in disarray. Anything is possible!

Brno apparently has 9 foreigners on trial, but only expect 2 or 3 to stick around.

    Hi guys,

Can anyone give me some informations about Petr Lukás. What are his strenghts and his weaknesses? Why has he only played 3 games in this season, was he injured?

    Thanks!

Sigma Olomouc won the 2011 Tipsport Cup yesterday with a 3-1 victory over Zlate Moravce (Sloavkia). With the win, they collect 300,000kc.

Plzen have won their first ever Gambrinus Liga title. It'll be interesting to see how they do in the Champions League Qualifying next year.

Brno (!) and Usti nad Labem have been relegated.

Great Brno got relegated. I supported them since I was a child and it seems that they have become shit ever since.
