Schmetzer was impressed by Vargas's attacking abilities in the game against Philly (IIRC). Personally I liked having both Roldan's on that side as they attack well together.
And another confusing point, the ECS is now singing "Roll On Columbia", a song about a river that is adjacent to Portland, but nowhere close to Seattle.
One of the teams scored. The graphic says it was Portland and since I have no idea what each team is wearing I'll just go ahead and believe it.
I think it would be nice if the league staggered the start times on some of the early Saturday evening games with local starts at 7, 7:15, 7:30, and 7:45?
Going by ET, I'd suggest 6, 8:30, and 11. Gives them a chance to do commercials/interviews/previews/recaps on 360 without cutting away from the action, keeps each window separate, and putting two featured games on Sunday gives people way more opportunity to see more action each week.
For those who don't know, Keith Costigan (the TV commentator) is a former Timbers player who also used to be the Sounders commentator.
I do like Portland's uniforms. The pattern on the jerseys are nice, and as mentioned, they have Tillamook as their shirt sponsor. My grocery store recently started getting some Tillamook products, and they are quite good!
I've been to the Tillamook cheese factory. Its a good place to run to if there's a tsunami as it's just outside the evacuation zone.
I only buy Tillamook cheese and if the ice cream is on sale I'll pick it over regular price Blue Bell. They do make some really good stuff.
