    Hi all,

I'm from the t USA, Philadelphia to be exact, and I was hoping to start following La Liga. I saw a few games on GolTV, which I recently got on a free trial due to some deal with Verizon, and I decided that it seemed to be league I would really enjoy. I also think I decided on the club I would try and support, Racing Santander, for a number of reasons, although I'm open to others. However, I wanted to ask everyone here about ways I might be able to see their games in the USA. I don't know how long my GolTV subscription will last and if they carry all the games or only the ones with the big teams (i.e. Real Madrid, Barcalona), so I wanted to see what other ways I may be able to follow the league. After doing a bit of research, I found several online things like sopcast but I didn't know how reliable they would be. So if anyone who might have ways that I could watch matches on a fairly regular basis, I'd really appreciate it (and as far as money goes, I could probably spend limited amounts for some service but I'm still a student so my income isn't high enough for anything too expensive). Thanks!

P.S. I apologize if this has already been asked or if it is in the wrong place. Mods, if it is, feel free to move it or tell me to re-post somewhere else.

    Hi bouncingsoul,

I would highly recommend subscribing to GolTV. Trying to use internet streaming is pretty painful, unreliable, blurry/pixelated, possibly announced in a very foreign language, and you don't know until the game starts which stream will work. In the busy Real Madrid forum, those who find a link to a good stream will post it in the game thread in the first 15-20 minutes of the game but there is almost no Racing Santander presence here, so you would have to find the best stream elsewhere. Most that use streaming do it because they can't get the programming on their TV.

GolTV is the only channel in the US carrying La Liga now (unless you are one of the very few who can get WorldSportHD's one game a week - they were just taken off of DishNetwork.) GolTV usually carries 2-3 live games per weekend day and plays repeats through the week. On weekends when there are games on both Sat & Sun, you have a good chance to be able to see 4-5 live games from Spain, so your chances go up that one of them will be a Racing game.

GolTV also carries a show called Olé La Liga that recaps and discusses the games each week. They also have the daily GolTV news with segments on all the major leagues including La Liga. Racing will also be competitive in the Copa del Rey and EUFA Cup, which are both carried by GolTV. Can't promise how many of Racing's games will be televised, but it's possible.

I would recommend waiting until the beginning of the season to pull the trigger, but....DOOOO ITTTTT! :)

Sounds like a plan. I just found out that my GolTV subscription is good until Christmas next year, so I could just renew it and it shouldn't be too expensive. The wrap-up show sounds especially good, so I can see highlights even if GolTV doesn't carry the game. Thanks a million!

another option if you're okay not watching it live:
    http://********.com/forum/index.php

It all comes down to pro's and con's of course, do you want live, free and bad quality, live, not free and good quality or delayed, free and decent quality.
