I am not buying that Davies is sealed and delivered.

These stories always come out on international breaks as clickbait

I don’t see a problem as long it’s a business transaction. None of us knows whats going on in his head since Madrid hasn’t even approached him. If Perez offers him a bone and he declines, then fine.

I don't think anyone here has seen him enough at Sevilla to give a more accurate valuation if he’s still decent though.

You don't bring Ramos back on a "business transaction", he's going to talk, ALOT.

Hes simply not good enough anymore for us to have to listen to his shit.

Honestly, who cares about Davies. The focus should be right fullback, CB and a creative mid. I’d like some rumors around those positions with proper players… not a Ramos wet dream.

The club has to to improve upon any position when possible, this shouldn't be controversial.
If you are fully satisfied with Mendy and Fran that's on you.

That's what we were told about Mbappe, and how players like Vini and Bellingham were going to have to suck it up, take a step back and get used to watching his star shine.

In some epic FOMO delirium we were told the club couldn't and shouldn't resist the urge to sign Mbappe because he was a generational player who would be world class from day one and an instant upgrade over any player in the team in any position.

How many full games have you seen him play for Sevilla?

If he goes nuclear and yaps a lot, so what? The club could just let him go by then.

Davies if we get him will be an asset not in overlap but in ball recovery and stopping opposition transitions.

He is not that good at crossing or attacking the wings. However his ball skills and carrying will solve the current double teaming dynamics on vinicius. If we get Davies we will see Vini ending ballondor convo.

Davies agent has been shady. Weren't there reports last summer that his agent agreed contract renewal terms with Bayern and then asked for more money soon after which Bayern felt was very unethical.

Sounds even worse than the way Mbappe's mom handled things in 2022. I don't think we should make any desperate offers for Davies as Miguel is very good technically and will end up at a top club if we snub him this summer.

JFD messed up recently too as he was the one who claimed Vini won BDR and everyone believed because he got Messi winning previous year ahead of Haaland correct. That's what eventually caused all the shock and drama at RM when Rodri won.

I would say about 6 or 7.He's a good enough player to contribute, but just like with Ronaldo, the size of the ego is way too big for what he has to offer right now.

I also think the way he walked out of Sevilla gives us no option. It's just a bad look.

He has no other clients, he's basically the guy that "discovered him". That's why the established agents have such a foothold in the game. Everything is a much smoother process.

That’s fair. However as I’ve said before, what is the risk? The only argument anyone has is “he’ll never join because of x reason”. That's not exactly answering the query. As a great jock once said, “the worse she can do is say no”.

The defensive situation is pretty dire and Madrid doesn’t have the luxury to be super choosy at this point.

He'll join, he's practically begging for it, but the fact that he went on radio to say this team has no leaders and nobody to speak up for them before he even joined, or was even asked whether he'd like to do so, is exactly what we're talking about. He truly thinks he's going to come in and be the boss.

"Hey guys i said you lack character a week ago, nice to see you"

His legs are probably gone at 38 to play starting CB and he his ego won't take it well if a newbie like Raul Asencio benches him. Moreover reputation pressure could force Carlo to play Ramos ahead of the likes of Asencio. Try to get someone like Rafa Marin back on loan.

    I welcome this.
Say what you want but it's a shame for the biggest Spanish club to barely have any guy playing for the Spanish NT.

Some Twitter glitch going on Bigsoccer for last several days. I will copy paste the content along with Tweet link from now on.

Raúl: “Having Raul Asencio with the first team gives an extra advantage to the young players, and gives them hope of reaching the first team.”

It could be, but the last glimpses of me of him, he’s still leagues above Vallejo. And if he’s signing and is demanding starter minutes, then don’t sign him, simple.

Rudiger’s legs will also be gone, with minutes he’s playing. The club needs to give him more help. I think everyone is prematurely excited about Asencio after one game.

Pretty soon we’ll have Camavinga at CB :D

The profile of Ramos is excellent, but the fact that he called the team a ruderless ship on chiringuito a week or two is the issue here. He really thinks he'd join us and be the captain and leader and have control.

Vallejo is a non factor who won't play. Ramos will expect to start in that slot and already talking about how he'd impact the team in media as if this is 2018 Ramos. Don't chase washed players who has no self awareness based on nostalgia.

Someone like Rafa Marin can help more knowing his role and is in his physical prime. And overall cheaper than Ramos too given wages. Asencio showed something vs Osasuna where as Ramos at 38 only has Instagram training vids in last 6 months.
