I've never heard of him but apparently he was big in NASCAR.

The first ever full broadcast of the Daytona 500 on network TV was in 1979. Cale Yarbrough and Donnie Allison, Bobby's brother, were running 1-2 on the final lap and wrecked. Bobby drove over to check and make sure his brother was alright and Cale got out of his car and attacked Bobby instead of Donnie, creating one of the more memorable fights in NASCAR history.

 

When drivers were more fun, driving was more fun & the cars were cooler

Just finding out about this now, but on Tuesday 11/12/2024, Thomas E. Kurtz passed away at age 96. He was the co-creator of the BASIC computer programming language.
