I'm gonna take a wild guess and predict that they don't bother to announce it tomorrow...

Well, if Poch and staff are distracted voting, then there's a problem.

Agreed. I wish for once in this country we could get our priorities straight. These are not friendlies, they are games that matter.

Is it just me are do others agree Busio doesn't have athletic limitations anymore? He seems genuinely fast now and while spindly seems to win a lot of battles and when he doesn't he positions himself to get fouls called for him. I wish Aaronson would watch and learn as both have similar builds but one gets calls and the other doesn't.

If you are of the opinion that you want to create some buzz for US soccer you need to be socially aware of what is going on in the world.

I think most here are 'socially aware of what is going on in the world,' but there are other places to talk about ... those matches, Mexico (1) v Honduras | Canada (2) v Suriname | Panama (4) v Costa Rica.

I'm aware that Poch has many passports, and is surely socially aware, and can't vote here.

Do people seriously think that Pochettino is in charge of the public release timing for the roster? I mean, I'm sure he tells people to not release it until all the phone calls have been made, but I'm pretty sure there's a PR department for the rest.

I don’t agree that a single pivot inherently requires greater range.

Sands asked his agent to start looking for other landing spots because he didn’t want to stay at Rangers. That filtered back to them and they cut bait.

And perhaps he didn't want to stay at Rangers because he was riding the bench.

Didn't Pirlo play a single pivot? point being the rest of the midfield was there to help him defensively.

There are some posters here who either are dumb or play it in service of their incessant narrative. If you have to constantly lie in service of your argument, it doesn't say much for it, or you.

I really hate the term single pivot. Where did that come from? I never heard that in my whole soccer life until maybe 5 years ago.

Pretty easy to pick CCV...when he's sucked almost every game for us. It'd be the working definition of insanity to pick him.

Trusty's an arguable choice, I may make, but certainly not an easy pick, when he has little sample for us, & his club record above C'ship level is a mixed bag at best. He's in form, over a small sample.

No they benched him in response to finding out he was looking for another club. At least that’s the story they were putting out there.

A wide range of player skillsets can fit into a lone d-mid role. The best fit depends on the tactics and available personnel.

Largely played in the middle of a 3 and was the guy who dropped in most regularly. Didn’t operate out of the typical DM positions once the ball advanced. Usually the weakside CM would hold in his place or a 3 ATB would provide more cover.

It’s what that personnel mixture looks like and the roles they adopt in each phase that determine the exact demands.
