Amazing that Koopmeiners constantly finds a way to bail out last minute from Oranje duty..

Not super excited about Til. He’s stiff and quite limited. I think Steijn would have been a better choice (goal + assist leader in Eredivisie). Also, would have been a great confidence booster for this young kid. Oh well, at least Koeman said a few words about him.

 

I hope Koeman has the ball to pair Van de Ven and Virgil at the heart of defense… (Koeman was asked about this, and he’s non-committal).

Both Van der Ven and Virgil are the only two CD’s showing good forms… the other options are injured, old/slow, or lacking rhythm. To accommodate Mickey, that may mean that Virgil shift to the RCD (not his preferred), hopefully this won’t be a major issue!

 

It's only Hungary though, so maybe try Mickey at LB and vHecke at CB??
That way you can save Mickey at CB for the Germany game

 

van Hecke is injured.... did not play last weekend. Not included in the Oranje squad.

 

If you want to try then try with Hungary game and give them time to create chemistry and understand each other so they can be ready for Germany.
