Yeah the SJ police don’t come but I seem to recall many Campbell cops giving out tickets in SJ as well as CHP’s setting speed traps along the city’s residential neighborhoods when they should have been on the highway doing their job!

    Give me a break!

    Parking is a headache.

Whether downtown or elsewhere, its’s more appealing if there’s access via public transportation, along with things to see/do in the neighborhood. Its fun to catch a game, as opposed to plan and make a production of going to a game.

The Giants stadium and surrounding area is covered ground, but bears highlighting. In addition to the Giants, there’s plenty of bars/restaurants, sightseeing, plus folks easily getting to the game. That includes folks working downtown who duck out to catch a game. The Giants host a bunch of non-baseball events as well. Has PPP hosted many non soccer events in recent history?

I think the SF Giants success and/or three World Series wins in the early 2010’s is stemmed directly because their stadium was built.

They were a joke playing at freezing Candlestick.

San Fracisco is totally different type of city though and can't be compared to anywhere else in the Bay Area.

Oracle Park is at a great location along the piers.

I was just at Oracle Park last weekend, so it's fresh in my mind. Coming from San Jose, with the plan to have dinner in Chinatown afterward, driving made more sense. But I can see how it would be great for public transit if you lived in SF.

PayPal hosts the annual holiday extravaganza, which I'm told is quite popular, though I have no interest. The former Avaya also hosted inside the stadium the NFL's Super Bowl "tailgate" party in 2015 (when the game itself was at Levi's); I know because Q participated and told me about it afterward. Then Bills QB Tyrod Taylor was a guest; still pissed at Q since he didn't invite me and introduce me to him. :)

Yeah, I mean. I’m thinking of premier events. The Christmas event doesn't suit my demographic, and being overflow space for. Levi’s event helps reinforce that PPP is not a destination.

Dead and Company at Oracle Park was amazing.

As I recall, concerts aren’t allowed at PPP because of the neighborhood opposition when the stadium was approved.

Didn't Nancy Thomas’ oppose fireworks shows as well?

    Or was that SJC -FAA?

I think they should play all the CCS tournament semi-finals and finals at PPP on a yearly basis.

Same with playoff games involving local colleges.

She may have, but in this case it was definitely the airport that publicly opposed fireworks shows at or near PayPal Park.

    GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! :(

Once again and bringing it back to the thread, Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas cannot and will not be able to put on fireworks display either.
