I hope Valverde gets more recognition in the world of football. Perhaps even a place at the podium. He is irreplaceable in this team.

The ugly football we had to witness when Jude was injured was not pretty. Glad he is back and able to connect the midfield with the attack. Incredible player.

Beautiful finishes by Mbappe this game. Hopefully this is the start of something. We will need him at his best in the latter stage of the CL and against the big 2 in Spain.

Vini getting butchered on and off the ball. What else is new. Great assist, We are combining much better this game. Jude Mbappe and Vini and playing alittle bit closer to eachother in order to combine and create things. Mendy is also providing an outlet when we get surrounded and need bailing out.

The CBs have been incredible.

Rodrygo.....I know our play is concentrated more to the left but man, try not passing the ball back sometimes.

 

All in all decent half, the team is playing well and in control, just needs a bit more intensity and fewer touches to move the ball towards goal, looking much better although granted the opposition isn't up to much, let's see how the second half pans out

 

Ehh tbh, just like the game against Espanyol, there is not much for them to do. No real test. Their attack is limp.
