If you have something to post that doesn't seem to fit in the other active VfB threads, post it here!
Attached is a link to an article about a fan with at least 1300 VfB, and other international football jerseys. Count me as being impressed! (The video is in German, but the written article can be translated if necessary, and there is also a link to 9 captioned photographs.) http://www.stuttgarter-nachrichten....den.2a1905f2-4143-402e-97c3-3ef187f9fd14.html
From the Stuttgarter Nachrichten is an article about a fan's questions to Jos Luhukay following the Heidenheim match. He received a good response from the team, but no answers from Luhukey to some very good, probing questions. https://www.facebook.com/VfB/posts/10155133146199325
The public airing of team 'dirty laundry' between Luhukay and Schindelmeiser is not appreciated by the Board. The Board appears to be backing Schindelmeiser: http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...richtung-luhukay.html#omrss_team_vfbstuttgart
Unfortunately, I think you're right. I think this is what happens when you hire a coach before you hire a sporting director, and they're not on the same page personnel-wise. VfB is a hot mess right now.
That's a bit drastic. We were co-favorites to win the league. Top 3 is doable, although if we had spent a little more on defense, I'd be more confident.
Today is the 20th anniversary of Commando Canstatt! Here's a link from an article in the SN: http://www.stuttgarter-nachrichten....-20.429899dd-18b1-4f0a-8334-67c51b513d2c.html Video from 2013 - 2014 Season:
It would appear that Dresden fans, ~5,000 strong, will march to Mercedes-Benz Arena before the match on Sunday, The Stuttgarter Polizei also appear to have things under control, with riot squads, and even water cannons available if need be. I hope it doesn't come to that. I just want VfB to kick their asses, sending them home in tears, while regaining first place in the table.
Here's the VfB supporter's march to the stadium, before the VfB-KSC derby: https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=1512650938748041

This looks cool: a VfB Stuttgart App: http://www.stuttgarter-nachrichten....app.697c2acc-fafa-492d-bd85-23d49b6f0620.html I hope they have an English language version, like the online website, because my German is still so rusty.
Under the Former Players category: Watched the opening round match (Jornada 1) of Atletico de San Luis and Club America yesterday. Mateo Klimowicz scored both goals in Atletico's 2-1 defeat of CA, Mexico's top club. Mateo left Stuttgart in the 2022-23 season and played only a few minutes for Arminia Bielefeld in 2.B. Afterwards, he went to Mexico to play for Atletico. In his first 1.5 seasons with AdSL, he scored 4 goals. Now he leads Liga MX in goal scoring after one round. His second goal was particularly amazing. Picking up the ball in his own defensive end, he made a mazy run through defenders -ala Maradona- and shot past the keeper. Take a look at the video before it disappears! BTW, Atletico de San Luis has some kind of connection to Atletico Madrid in La Liga, so you will see them sporting a similar kit.
Help please from any Stuttgart fan: I am in Stuttgart in Feb next year ( planning ahead) looking at the fixtures I see there is a game in the city when I am there (Wolfsburg), a couple of questions: Will it be easy to get tickets? I’m visiting from England. Also I like to get more than 1 game in if I can - and I see Frankfurt are at home that weekend - is it possible to get to Frankfurt and back to Stuttgart in one day? Are these games usually on different days? Hope this makes sense!!
Hi Derek, I'm sorry, I can't help you regarding tickets. Via rail, I should think you can get to Frankfurt & back to Stuttgart in one day. Unless one of the other 2-3 posters in this sub-forum can help you, your best bet will be to ask these same questions in the VfB sub reddit.
