Dude got a pointless yellow card earlier and that basically took him out the match mentally. James on the other hand has turned into primeMaradona, but we all know it's fools good because we have see him moonlight as primeModric, primeZidane, etc
I think Europe is largely out of the James business, didn't even bother in Greece. But he could flip what he's doing now into an MLS deal
He is one a of a kind; honestly, for me he was more talented than both Isco and Ozil. He just needed Carlo to be there at his lowest point.
You mean to pick him up when he gets dropped to the floor by an uppercut at the night club? When Vidal and James left Munich, nightclubs put up their kits on the wall like James Worthy and Kareem.
For what, three years? Ronaldinho's peak probably lasted from 2003 to 2006, when he arrived at Milan he wouldn't even run any more.
I definitely expected him to achieve great things, and he showed many glimpses of his insane talent. His first season at Real Madrid was stuff of wonders, crazy performance. Wonderful talent and one that had a special finishing ability (which set him apart from most other midfielders), but not as talented as Mesut for me.
That's the thing about Dinho. Such a magical player but short peak. He wrote himself out of even the top 20 players ever. He had a resurgence season before 2010 at Milan but the coach didn't like him. From there it was downhill.
He literally was a cone. Even at practice he refused to run. This used to be the norm in Europe for the divas from South America mind you like "eh, he doesn't like running, whatareyagonnado" but Dinho took it to new levels, and today this wouldn't fly for a minute. He did great things from the phone booth because obviously genius tier ball control but anything that involves running was a hell no.
Neymar Jr posted a photo of him and his children asleep on the sofa during Brazil’s underwhelming 1-1 draw with Colombia at the Copa América 👀😴 pic.twitter.com/fnJEPM3Y10— SPORTbible (@sportbible) July 3, 2024 First Ronaldinho now Neymar lol These Brazilians don’t hold back even against own NT
Meh ... don't really think this is a swipe at the team. He has been with them during these games watching them and in the locker room and all.
Haha I had forgotten he played in Greece for a season which also didn’t work out for him. He was player of the match last night and I am really surprised he is playing this good at his age and low stamina but the guy was out there recovering balls and still sending top quality crosses to the box by the 80th min. MLS would be great for him now, I agree.
He had some good moments and was really the only threat Brazil had but was highly marked and neutralized by Muñoz .. James pulled a sombrero on him and Vini couldn’t handle it and ended up throwing an elbow which got him the yellow card. I hear now he won’t be able to play against Uruguay, their most important match of the tournament, which sucks for him and for Brazil.
I would not exclude him from top 20 list. His peak was just too good delivering performances that you hardly see .. then came Messi and CR7 but besides those two no one else has really matched that level since .
Do you think that could be aimed at the coach? One more thing Rodrygo is really making himself a rotational player and not a starter. If he can't step up to the next level he only has himself to blame.
Hmmm Ozil had amazing passing and vision, James did too but I’ll give the edge to Mesut goal scoring was James by a good amount so I go with James in that one and not because he is Colombian, but he was more complete
Richard Ríos - from Guarani (a small Brazilian team in the second division) to Colombia starter in such a short span. Amazing.
