I need to look a bit more closely at Leigh Richmond Roose's career path, and include Everton as a club for him in at least one year I think, but I'll make that adjustment when I do the full 1900s summary (after I get confirmation about Naubi's votes too and integrate those in the tallies)

These are the current standings (before Naubi's votes) for 1907-1909 editions anyway....

1907 Ballon d'Or Revisited panel consensus
    1
    Billy Meredith (Wales/Manchester United) - 28
    2 Bob Crompton (England/Blackburn Rovers) - 18
    3 Steve Bloomer (England/Middlesbrough) - 12
    4 John 'Jock' Rutherford (England/Newcastle United) - 6
    5 Colin Veitch (England/Newcastle United) - 4
    6 Jimmy Quinn (Scotland/Celtic) - 3
    7 Leigh Richmond Roose (Wales/Stoke City/Sunderland) - 2

1908 Ballon d'Or Revisited panel consensus
    1
    Billy Meredith (Wales/Manchester United) - 28
    2 Bob Crompton (England/Blackburn Rovers) - 16
    3 John 'Jock' Rutherford (England/Newcastle United) - 14
    4 Vivian Woodward (England/Tottenham Hotspur) - 8
    5 Charlie Roberts (England/Manchester United) - 4
    6 Sophus Nielsen (Denmark/BK Frem) - 3

1909 Ballon d'Or Revisited panel consensus
    1
    Billy Meredith (Wales/Manchester United) - 26
    2 Billy Wedlock (England/Bristol City) - 15
    3 Vivian Woodward (England/Tottenham Hotspur) - 14
    4 Bob Crompton (England/Blackburn Rovers) - 11
    5 Bert Freeman (England/Everton), Jimmy Quinn (Scotland/Celtic) - 3
    7 George Holley (England/Sunderland) - 1

I haven't forgotten to continue this by the way; if not today/this morning then probably tomorrow morning I will try to start on the 1890s standings....

I will still need to show the full summary for the 1900-1909 lists (all in one post) and am just waiting to see what votes might be added for Naubi there like I said....

For the 1890s I will incorporate votes from Gutigut from 1894 onwards (the first year there is a top 3, as opposed to just a single player, listed on the website at the moment) which is consistent with the 'rules' established for submitting votes I think (not less than 3 choices).

But making a start with 1890 to 1893 now....

1890 Ballon d'Or Revisited panel consensus
    1
    Jimmy Ross (Scotland/Preston North End) - 22
    2 Nick Ross (Scotland/Preston North End) - 18
    3 Walter Arnott (Scotland/Queen's Park) - 12
    4 Thomas Robertson (Scotland/Queen's Park) - 4
    5 James Trainer (Wales/Preston North End) - 2

1891 Ballon d'Or Revisited panel consensus
    1
    Edgar Chadwick (England/Everton) - 24
    2 Jack Southworth (England/Blackburn Rovers) - 16
    3 Nick Ross (Scotland/Preston North End) - 12
    4 Alf Milward (England/Everton) - 4
    5 Walter Arnott (Scotland/Queen's Park) - 2

1892 Ballon d'Or Revisited panel consensus
    1
    Billy Bassett (England/West Bromwich Albion) - 24
    2 Hughie Wilson (Scotland/Sunderland) - 14
    3 Sandy McMahon (Scotland/Celtic) - 13
    4 John Campbell (Scotland/Sunderland)* - 5
    5 Ned Doig (Scotland/Sunderland) - 2

    * I have provisionally included John Campbell of Sunderland here (who also happens to be the choice of Gutigut for Player of the Year this year), but it's a little unclear if it should be him or John Campbell of Celtic getting points. @Tom Stevens will be able to clarify that, and I'll make sure to include the intended player when I do the full 1890s summary (if you can also confirm whether it's correct that the Sunderland John Campbell was in your 1st place for 1892/93 Tom that'd help there too - he is in 1st for Peter/Elegos that time though and I'm thinking probably he will be for you on that basis so I've assumed so for now)

1893 Ballon d'Or Revisited panel consensus
    1
    John Campbell (Scotland/Sunderland) - 24
    2 Jimmy Ross (Scotland/Preston North End) - 15
    3 Hughie Wilson (Scotland/Sunderland) - 13
    4 Billy Bassett (England/West Bromwich Albion) - 4
    5 Ned Doig (Scotland/Sunderland) - 2

All credit to Peterhrt, Elegos7 and Tom Stevens mate really for the research into those older years - I'm just counting the votes up for IceBlood so he can summarise the results for all years (and I took quite a while to do it).

Pele has very good stats for goal involvements in Finals he played in I think doesn't he (you know already I guess)?

.... yes ... he ( Pelé ) and Messi are the leaders in this Ranking for sure .....

But ... i didn't yet on Pelé ... i'll do it ... sooner or later for sure ... Why ??? putting ...goals .... + assists + pre-assists really the result for sure still can change at all . But ... firstly ... i'll do it ... the profile of Zidane and Matthaus . ! later Van Basten and Ronaldo Nazario !

    ..................
I wanted to propose something to you, my dear English friend. well I know you run this thread at the moment... We could make a Super Ballon D'or of all time " History " really. bringing together all players with gold, silver and bronze balls. or even the Top 5... and also placing the winners of the corrected Ballon d'Or... from FRance Football in 2016. ??????

    Examples from this dear mate

    ....
    Le nouveau palmarès
To coincide with the 60th anniversary of the Ballon d'Or in 2016, France Football published an internationalized reevaluation of the awards presented before 1995, when only European players were eligible to win the award.[7][57] 12 out of the 39 Ballons d'Or presented during this time period would have been awarded to South American players; in addition to Pelé—seven times—and Diego Maradona—twice—Garrincha, Mario Kempes, and Romário were retrospectively recognized as worthy winners.[57][60] The original recipients, however, remain unchanged.[3]

It's @IceBlood34 who really runs the thread mate to be honest, and it was his idea to start it, but you could ask him if he was interested in opening a new thread.

I am not totally sure what you are proposing though: did you mean a Super Ballon d'Or similar to the France Football one in the late 80s (where every voter chooses a top 5 players of all-time)?

This link to @Gutigut 's choices doesn't seem to work now (yesterday it did have top 3 players from 1894) - if I'm to include votes for him for any 1890's years I'll need access to it again of course.
    Page not found – ArFootballHistory

I'll leave the updating for today then (and maybe there's no big rush anyway if we're also trying to allow Titanlux to at least get his 1998/99 post completed before I've done the points for all of the early-years votes).

Could you make it un-private (even temporarily) again for me mate please?

I think we set the rules to be requiring 3 players per year at least if somebody was to be able to cast a valid vote for any particular year. But on that basis, based on what I saw on your website a couple of days ago, we could have included your votes for 1894 to 1899 Ballon d'Or Revisited editions at least.

@IceBlood34 do you want to decide on whether this can be included or whether it will have to stand as a post-voting period take by an interested poster but not go towards the points tallies (I guess in effect we already tried to close the voting off several times lol, but on the other hand it'd have been a legitimate vote due to being for one full decade, it has a full 5 players voted for for each year and since your results list won't be finalised until I finish the early-years summaries and we get Titanlux's 1998/99 post probably too, possibly you could consider this vote acceptable at the 'last minute' too - the issue for you and me both in theory could be that it could invite further new votes when we are on the verge of finishing things though maybe?)?
