I should have said football culture, which can be chaotic and crazy anywhere. I had a very pleasant experience at a Moroccan restaurant in Doha. Just lovely people and great food.
You should eat Moroccan food in Morocco at least once in your life, i guarantee it will be worth a trip
I wish I had time to make it out there. I’m going to Egypt after the final, but definitely on my list.
Just when I thought I was done with ticketing… I have an extra M61. Block 141. CAT2. Resale FV. It’s in the double letters so near the back of lower level. The perfect CAT2 seat. Argentina side. Main Applicant so would pass along my login credentials. I was going to let me Argentine friend use it but she was able to get a ticket today from the Argentina Federation in section 139. I was going to sell it back to FIFA but it’s such as great seat I thought I’d offer it here first. DM me if interested.
A bit harsh to generalise entire nations/cultures based on the behaviour of a portion of their football fans. Of all ppl, I would've expected an Englishman to understand that. I was at the morocco-spain game and the fans there were well behaved and deffo not aggressive. The Portugal game on the other hand, is another story. I missed 15 mins of the first half coz a few dumb c**** thought it would b pretty cool to try entering without tickets. Pretty sure a lotta Moroccans were affected by this as well
I was at 3 quarter finals. Not the Morocco one. Riot police were at 2 of these. Well, no need to further explain myself.
Seeing all these posts about various fans and which are unruly or not, etc. IMHO the only ones to blame for any increased fan agitation thus far has been the organizing committee. What with the ridiculous, over-engineered, and over-zealous queues or the under prepared staff - I’ve found this to be the most annoying WC of the 8 I’ve attended. The staff themselves have been genuinely friendly and wanting to be helpful. But they were not set up for success. If I met Hassan Al-Thawadi I think I would punch him in the face. I keep asking myself “why?” on sooo many things that could have made a difference. And every one of them boils down to decisions that were made far up the food chain and handed down for the poor saps on ground left to implement.
In my experience the Muslim world sees security in raw number not in the well trained quality, at every corner there are 10 people most of whom don’t know shit..Doha airport must set a new record for the people standing there just to make sure you follow the luggage sign… I recall in Algeri airport I went through 3 metal detectors scans yet my nail scissors went unnoticed because nobody was really looking at the scans.

How many times in the history of football riot police was present at the England matches? Clubs and national team? You, my friend, if you are English - invented hooligans and dark side of football. So judging others is something you shouldn't do.
No chance to cart any of these hundreds of tickets for match 61. If somebody has two spare tickets for any reason would be very happy to buy them.
I’ve been to Marrakech and Fez (visiting the Sahara in between) and it was amazing. Having dinner at the local souks in Marrakech was an experience I’ll never forget.
