Yes. That one was on him. A rare and very costly gaffe in what was otherwise personally a very well-played World Cup.

 

Adams was one of the best DMs in the competition during the group stage but in the Holland match he looked knackered, as did McKennie who hadn't fully recovered from his injury.

 

Probably would've been better to not run those guys into the ground over the first three games...
