Just so that we are clear: During the time that he was president we brandished the swastika at the Fondo Sur live on television. When we speak of clubs that can't play "look at this clubs past" it's us and others included.
He is spot on for the first part of his claim though. It is shameful for a historic club like Real to have no Spaniards in their starting 11. It shows no appreciation for domestic talent and gives no contributions to the national team. Vinicius Jr is not a shitty person though. That's dumb to say. He's probably the best out of all great footballers around. He loves to bring unnecessary fuss to the game but helps a lot of people in need with his money.
This dude forgot their biggest STARS was foreign players. Or maybe Messi,Cruijff, Maradona, Ronaldinho and Ronald Koeman are Spanish players and i didn't know.
LV replaced Carva so RM still had a Spaniard in starting XI. Now Raul Asencio will start at CB though LV is injured.
We used to have the spanish flag on our kit not too long ago and Florentino removed it. There was a petition to bring it back, but Florentino countered that "Real Madrid does not need to have the flag on the kit to be the team of the Spanish people", Real Madrid being "spain's team" is something the club is very aware of as an image, which is why there's always a government official around Florentino in the stands, and an olympic athlete or anybody that achieves anything of note and isn't 'one of them' meaning somebody like Jorge Lorenzo gets the big red carpet treatment and the Bernabeu gets to applaud "their heroes". The club is selling Spain's team in Spain, and "International Franchise" outside of it. I personally would like to see the domestic cultural element represented on the roster. It was beatiful to see the matador performance when we won titles.
Meh… I’d rather win titles than worry about something like that. Would it be great to have more Spanish players, sure if they truly are the best fit starting spot or rotational but not otherwise.
So you agree that we're basically buying success no different than Chelsea or City then? Because buying the best players you can buy is basically what they too, are doing.
Nope, not at all what I said. I was reacting to your Matador comment. Where did I say don’t develop your own. I like the clubs current strategy.
Personally i think something is missing. It feels more and more like a basketball team if i'm honest, we're just hiring the best employees. But this is why this is not a right or wrong topic. Everybody is allowed to have his opinion on this.
Cussing someone out and taking illegal drugs is one thing, but why so insistent on filming yourself doing it?
Why the hell would you decide to go backwards.... Sure add the Manager aspect to it, but don't take away what allows for fairer officiating. Or is that the whole purpose? Bring back the corruption and the Negreira types! Yay!
Maybe they want to reduce the pauses in the game i am not sure. I would like more power for the VAR team as they are in a calmer situation to judge logically, compared to the referee.
What you would personally like is all well and good, but to be clear there is absolutely nothing shameful about using foreign players or a lack of Spanish players. It’s peculiar how you always attempt to come to the defense of folks that use this type of language. I know you didn’t directly say as much, but it’s always a reply to those calling out that discourse.
Nothing shameful about using a handful of foreigners in your squad, every club has them. Even prime Barca had foreigners filling the holes. But building a whole team without a single Spaniard included indeed is shameful for a Spanish club. That means Real does not represent Spain on the club football stage at all, it just represents itself. Also means Real is not contributing to Spanish NT not even a little bit. Previously there were guys like Casillas, Raul, Ramos, Alonso, Carvajal, Nacho and others - now nobody. That's not how it should be.
This is hilarious. I won't even bother debunking this nonsense. We are all aware you purposely left out a ton of Spaniards without which Barca would be nothing today. But even the fluke list you attempted to make is ********ed up - Messi and Cruyff both had Catalonia as their second home.
What is hilarious is how desperate you are for our attention. I mean nobody gives a ******** what you think, say or post but you're here begging to be acknowledged. Okay man, we see you. We hear your pain. Madrid bad. Madrid bad.
