    Kean is proving me wrong.

Orsolini can score 20 goals and he probably will remain a periphery player regardless of 352 or 433 for whatever reason. He's in the same club as Locatelli.

Kean makes me really happy! He is a different kind of player than Scamacca and Retegui. He only needs consistency! We can really count on him if he keeps like this!

Spalletti dropped all our wingers including Chiesa. His formation is more based around the wingback getting forward. I think that if he had more roster space, we could use one good winger. You never know if you’ll need one IMO. Sometimes a game demands that someone get forward and take guys on 1v1.

Yeah I agree. But even when we played with wingers Orsolini was left out constantly...and it was more than one manager doing it.

I blame it on his short arms lol. He's like an Italian T.Rex

Kean is more of an all round player than Retegui or even Scamacca. Kean can dribble and take his man on to score. The others need service.

Kean just needed consistency and for him to be completely focused on football.

wow Kean! seems like he finally found his club/manager. we should remember that he played very well for a strong PSG team at a young age and everyone under Allegri was feeding off scraps. He obviously is not one to create something out of nothing but playing for a good offensive manager that creates chances he can and is doing well.

Palladino is looking like the new Gasperini.

Any news about Ricci’s injury? He is really fundamental in this new system! Of course sooner than later we will have to see who can play in this position too!

Top two scorers in Serie A are both the 1&2 strikers for Italy (for now). It has been a while…

No info yet on Ricci’s injury. In searching for news I also learned that Real are looking at Ricci as well.

I thought he could have his last dance at Euros but he was unlucky and injured. A reliable defender for many years!

Kean showing what he can do! We finally have some decent attackers, it’s refreshing to see

    Top players of the week:

    Leali, Vogliacco
    Dossena, Goldaniga

    Sansone
    Pellegri

    Nicolussi Caviglia, Oristanio
    Leoni, Valeri

    ZAPPA, Augello, Zortea

    Gatti, Cambiaso, Locatelli

    Carnesecchi, Bellanova, Ruggeri, Retegui

    Comuzzo, Ranieri, Kean
    Montipo

    SES
    Orsolini

    Turati, Pessina
    Romagnoli, Rovella, Zaccagni

    Acerbi, Bastoni, Barella, Dimarco
    Buongiorno

It went over my head this week, but just noticed Pecchia started Giovanni Leoni for the first time. So Camarda wasn’t the only Italian teenager making his Serie A debut. Leoni is only 17 but already a big boy. He was being looked at by all the top Italian teams last summer.

The Fiorentina CB pairing of Ranieri and Comuzzo continue to do well. Kean finally finding his true form. The real star of this show is Palladino.

I wonder if Rovella starts over Locatelli or the opposite and what that says about how Spaletti see's Locatelli meaning if he starts because he has the experience why wasn't he called in the first place? Of course we know Ricci is first choice so perhaps he just wanted to look at Rovella off the bench or in training. Was probably going to play Ricci in both matches.

As a fan of both I am happy we have some depth at Regista and happy that Locatelli under Motta finally looks like a regista. He seems to have finally converted into the role from his more box to box instincts. Fagioli likewise does not look like a regista at the moment but I would like to see him as an attacking midfielder and perhaps Motta see's him as a substitute for Koopminers now.

Gatti is such a dumbass for injuring the kid. Would have thought could skip Belgium and be ready for Sunday against France.

for me, i don't quite follow the Savona pick over Bellanova, but I give Spal the ok with this as I do not think it hurts the squad for the current int'l window. and it gives yet another experience in the same way Mancini gave experience during his tenure.

I just wish Spal could have worked in Lucca, but also this is only a mild to moderate complaint from me.

On that topic, today in his presser he said that Savona has played in the center of a 3 man D. He made no mention of him playing Right side D in a 3 (which is what I noticed as well).

Just don't see him as a Wingback.

Either way, I can't see Nicolò Savona getting Minutes. Heavy Minutes for Buongiorno and likely Okoli.

It's hard because he's been so dominant at so many levels, but watching him Saturday, you could see there is a physical gap. It's tough for a 16 yr old boy to have the strength and speed of someone in their 20s. That said, he wasn't poor. He just wasn't as impactful as I think many were hoping.

So happy for Locatelli's return, Spalletti is constantly improving his player decisions every go around! Bravo!

Bellanova will be back. Both of Atalanta's goals this past weekend were from his dangerous crosses.
