Germany's Quest to Not Embarrass Itself, the WC26+NL24-25 Thread

you lost your edge in the 1st match vs Germany.
-we had less pressing which opened door wide open for Dutch speed and counter. With our pressing we basically axing any speed/counter from Dutch.
-we had slower M with guys in their 30s vs now youthful M
-Rudiger is back in D which means your physicality and speed edge isn't as much there compared to a Tah in 1st match

 

at least we are seeing next gen players
-Wirtz+Pavlovic are still U21 eligible. If Fit Musiala would also be XI too, could have seen 3 U21 players in U21, shame.
-Stiller and Leweling as 01s are barely outside U21 and were eligible for last U21 cycle. Interesting to note since some people used to claim that 01 Age Group is the worst age group of all time, LOL. I always argued that every age group as produced SNT players as you don't need everyone from every age group to make SNT. Even if only 1-2. And with players like Thiaw we could see down line more 01s in SNT.
-Leweling might be more useful than a Fuhrich tbh. I feel like Fuhrich kinda lacks Leweling's energy and speed and outside of dribbling without much finishing he doesn't offer as much. Would still have him part of pool though
-with Gruda, Beier, Adeyemi etc more youngsters will emerge!!!!

Stiller+Pavlovic...........Andrich+Gross are old slow and reached peak performance while the 2 youngesters are nowhere near that. Also one doesn't win trophies with Andrich+Gross level as your M. Those 2 are more fit for bench options and once our NUMEROUS next gen Ms emerge as options should be axed completely.

Stiller, Leweling, Schade, Thiaw, 4 01s have played SNT!!!!!

Schlotterbeck is class as long as he avoids any brain rot, can't recall his last major blnder its been awhile.

 

although Kleindienst has been XI in 2/2 games, have to say that even if he hasn't scored in those XIs he still shows more promise than Havertz at CF.

he does his job like he should and gets others more involved and opens up more space.

with Havertz the entire attack becomes lethargic around him when he's at CF......
