The Dutch dropped points tonight. So we move clear at the top

Pretty good performance, 1-2 flattered Bosnia could easily have had another couple. Undav shows all the predatory instincts you need as a CF, and I liked some of the link up between him and Kleindienst. Burkardt impressed as well when he came on. It's funny because not long ago it's.likely none of those 3 would have been called up, and yet now we are seemingly more open to giving more players a chance and they are all showing they can contribute at NT level. Even missing Fullkrug, Havertz and Musiala we still looked quite fluent which is encouraging.

If we can win v Netherlands we are pretty much qualified.

I think you guys have the wrong idea.

I defended Nagelsmann picking Havertz over Fülle at the euros because Havertz is the better all round, hardworking player and fitted with Nagelsmann tactical scheme much better. Also we had old midfielders so needed legs up top defensively. But I agree he didn't score enough.

I've said all along, the 9 role will go to a mobile, modern guy who delivers - and that will depend on what form players show this season.

Nagelsmann has the nice situation that Havertz continues to deliver for Arsenal at 9, but also players like Undav are delivering. And you have important players like Gnabry coming back in support roles.

IMO the loser of all that will probably be Füllkrug who will likely continue to be seen as plan B because Undav is a better fit. And young guys like Adeyemi or Beier can also break in.

IMO you will continue to see Havertz as a core member of the XI - but i completely agree it might not be at 9 if Undav continues to score like this.

Thank God, we have moved away from the

"World Class CF or BUST" mentality that plagued Low+Flick era.

everyone in Europe make due with non-World Class or Elite CF but we were stuck on that DA BEST or false 9 mentality, no inbetween.

yeah the efficiency of Fullkrug, Undav etc when given chances shows that this was our biggest mistake from 2018-2024. Imagine 3 back to back coaches making same mistake.

although Nagelsmann doubled down on Havertz after Euro 2024 QF Exit, one can see that he changed his mind about Havertz at CF last month. And now Havertz's absence is perfect timing to axe any remaining vestige of playing him at CF as the other options are showing to be much more effective and better finishing.

Where can Nagglesman play Havertz as a starter if not 9?

I don't see him playing the CAM position.

Last night Undav got the headlines and rightfully, but he was playing off Tim kleindhienst who played the CF role brilliantly. Creating space, and showed strength and movement as a classic center forward. And it was Undav who was in the classic 10 position but playing off Tim and it worked brilliantly. I would stick with this with the possibility of musiala for Ganebry.

    -----------------------Tim Kliendienst----------------

    Musiala--------------Undav--------------wirtz--------

Gnabry+Sane might be better off as sub options vs tired legs.

Good stuff. Good to have strength in depth, I like the way Naglesmann has clarity in selection and phylosophy, which makes it easy for any new comer coming into the side.

Absolutely brilliant so far. We're tormenting the Dutch. Got to take our chances. No doubt in my mind, Pavlovic is the new Kroos

Big chance, Leweling should have put it the other side rather then where the defender was.
