MLS players in the USMNT because they proved they didnt belong and the noise was starting to get loud enough. Once they lost that, the moved to the Olympics. Hopefully this is the end of this nonsense.
There are people who on this very forum who are calling for that very player to be in the next full team call up.
What does that have to do with you having common decency? What has Zimmerman done to deserve being called an assclown?
I guess I wasn't done. Why don't you have some dignity and decency to actually moderate these threads fairly. Your selective treatment based on whether you agree with views is really messed up. Your offended that I called a guy who has no business in the national team but continues to be included a silly name that he will ever see, but turn the other way when people directly insult me in the forum you are supposed to moderate. I have been called a moron and jackal because they don't like my opinions (I was restricted from this forum for at least a month for less). Correct me if I'm wrong but haven't seen you say anything when MLS fans have attacked german-americans. Id say questioning whether a player cares about the team is worse than a silly name. Now to your last question. If Zimmerman really cared about the USMNT he would have told Berhalter to stop calling him up while playing like crap. The guy sucked before and after WCQ. The honor of playing for the national team was diminished by continuously including guys who didnt deserve to be there. Oddly, Zimmerman was one of those players. It isnt surprising that sounds entitled. Since I think Berhalter is an assclown, I thought it was an appropriate name for a guy following Berhalter style of leadership. I'd love it for one of the players to suggest that Zimmerman shouldn't be shitty at soccer. Hopefully this end and can hangout in MLS and collective ridiculously large salary, which he doesn't deserve either.
The first was already answered and no punting into the stands. No real surprises at all. We blew out new Zealand and Guinea and were played off the field by France and Morocco. Our best players were clearly FORMER MLS players... Yow, Aaronson, Paredes, Busio (got hurt), and Tessman. I thought outside backs and GK were ok. The biggest disappointment was the overage players. Zimmerman and Robinson showed again that they aren't good at soccer and hopefully this will be the last time we have to watch Mihaelovic fail in US uniform.
I didn’t moderate you - I asked you to be a decent human being. If I moderated this forum I’d have tossed you a long time ago for posts like this. How awful do you have to be to shit on someone who is representing his country with tons of heart. Seriously - it’s great you think you have all the answers but take a look at yourself and what you are posting.
Yep, selective moderating. Please explain the question asked before. How is me calling a player a name such a big deal to you, but you don't care if people break your TOS? Also, what in that post breaks your TOS? People trash players all the time and don't recall you saying anything. It is the federations fault. Using the national team to market MLS is disgusting. Anytime they call in players that don't deserve to be there, they are setting them up for criticism. I dont think have all the answers and change opinions all the time. I just believe a lot of ideas on here are dumb. Not because they are different than mine as you guys often suggest. They usually simplistic and logically incomplete. Like your view on what we can't become a top team without MLS becoming a top league. Maybe I should create thread about all the fallacies that are thrown around here. I believe I am a decent human being and that there are a lot worse people on here than me. You may not remember, but I was incredibly respectful on here until I finally got tired of MLS fans attacking me and decided to reciprocate. Don't worry, I have been thinking of taking a vacation from here now that Olympics are over. Now before everyone gets excited, it is just an idea I have been toying with.
What does people doing worse things than you have to do with you posting with some decency and dignity? You don’t seem to be reading what I’m saying - I’m not moderating you. Even if you believe this complete nonsense (which I hope you don’t) - it’s not Zimmerman’s fault he gets called up and he doesn’t deserve to be shit on by so-called fans any more than anyone else who wears the jersey.
I understand you aren't moderating me. You are selectively calling me out for something that happens all the time around here. I think if you and the other mod would just treat people the same you would likely have a much more decent and dignified place. I do believe it and think he deserves criticism for what he said. Why can't you see that? As a player, I'd much rather be called an assclown than have my effort questioned. Now having it done publicly by a veteran who is supposed to be a leader is much, much worse. Zimmerman is an extremely limited soccer player and I am sure every single one of those players on the team know it. If I were a kid on the team, I'd probably blast Zimmerman's game publicly. Maybe not, I might get black balled by the federation. Maybe Luna can do it when interviewed about why he chooses Mexico. It isnt Zimmerman’s fault he gets called up, but accepting those callups is putting his personal benefit over the team.
I’m calling you out because your posts are awful. If you said this stuff in person in a public forum you would be quickly asked to leave. The sad part about the internet is that anyone can spew nonsense and take up the virtual oxygen. I encourage you to take a break and gain some humor and humility and decency. This is just no way to talk about good people. Or find places like Twitter where this kind of nonsense is at home.
I also am not impressed with your posts. This might be one of the best things I've seen you write. I dont know how many times I have been out to watch games and had to walk away from an MLS fan saying some crazy stuff after listening to them have no clue what is actually going on in the game. That isn't the sad part. The sad part is there are forums like this that censures differing opinions and tries to push the censured views as a consensus. I will take that under consideration. Lots of opinions in the next statement. Who are you to decide how to talk to people? Who are you to decide who is "good people"? I dont think you understand Twitter. The comedy of all this is great. The issue here isn't my criticism of a player, it is who the player is. There is long list of players that get trashed on here and you guys don't say anything. I have called Berhakter tons of names on here and you have never said anything. My bashing of berhalter doesn't come close to some of the past coaches and I havent seen you say anything. Dual Natjonals? Nothing said. High Schooler posting on twitter about their favorite player? Nothing. Can you give me a list of who we should be decent to? Leave me alone unless you are going answer the questions I have asked you. Also, be ready for me to start a thread about fallacies and the first example will be yours. Btw, I think Acosta is a "Try Hard" who is an extremely limited player. I think he is a whiny bjtch for claiming he is criticized because he plays in MLS. Nah, he just sucks at soccer and had no business getting the honor of wearing the US shirt as much as he did. Those MLS players got to significantly supplement their income for working hard. Too bad they never worked hard on things like their touch and ability to an accurate ball. Remember he was considered a bug enough prospect to play up with youth teams. Not sure how great that FCD academy and full team were for his development.
Hmmmm.... they jammed down our throats they amazing culture they were building and the program was being set up for the future. So if the locker room was actually a mess, what did Berhalter actually accomplish that the next coach can benefit from going forward. BTW, Twitter is really giving it to Adams on this. Grown men from all these top 5 league clubs need to be put in their place? Is the locker room that outta control? https://t.co/g64Aodkyyk— Daniel (@DanielSmith1022) August 7, 2024
Well, we know who isn't the leader going forward. It is easy to see why Berhalter loved Adams so much. Tyler said what? https://t.co/apjO4Pchu4 pic.twitter.com/LGNlWgOCaN— Kranks (@dis_possessed) August 7, 2024
Yep GGG brought in a player that was not 90 minutes fit to player.... Tyler..... A member of the clique err "Leadership Council". Now he's saying this!
dempseys not in this team, and hasnt benefitted from what some see as a too...easygoing, for lack of a better team, atmosphere. thats not the case with adams.
I thought Klinsmann's dressing room was supposed to be easy going too. Arena's and Bradley's would have been stricter.
I couldn't imagine if my career was linked to somebody like Berhalter. That Berhalter coaching tree looks like it is on life support. Some former members of Berhalter's technical staff at #USMNT : - Nico Estevez: fired from Dallas - Luchi González: fired from SJ - Anthony Hudson: fired in Qatar - Josh Wolff: fired from Austin - BJ Callaghan: signs with Nashville - Mikey Varas: signs with San Diego Algunos antiguos miembros del staff técnico de Berhalter en #USMNT:- Nico Estévez: despedido de Dallas- Luchi González: despedido de SJ- Anthony Hudson: despedido en Qatar- BJ Callaghan: firma con Nashville- Mikey Varas: firma con San Diego- Josh Wolff: despedido de Austin https://t.co/5mFYhg7L21 pic.twitter.com/5Be7i2Vfbl— Jaime Ojeda (@jaimeor96) October 6, 2024
