Well I'm like the kid you never had lol the soccer nut! LOLOL. Alex and I don't play nice, we've had some very ... vulgar disgusting conversation exchanges... So we decided to agree to disagree (his idea). He's too nice of a man. lol
Yes, Ian mentioned the three guys positively. You can see Beason yelling at guys and pointing where he wants them. He tries to organize the defense, but I don’t think the other guys listen enough. Go Quakesfans!!
Well given how things are going I’m not sure anyone would want to cop to being a team leader right now :-(.
That is true. I do have two daughters. One played club soccer as the sweeper for the same team as Danielle Slaton and Aly Wagner when they won their first national championship. She was recruited to Cal but decided she was burned out and left the game instead. The other also played club, and later worked for MLS in Manhattan as the director for digital marketing for several years, dealing with corporate sponsors. (She once described MLS to me as "a Ponzi scheme" ). Soccer has been in their rear view mirror for a long time, and not missed at all by them. So I have no one to appreciate my collection of EQ souvenirs except you!
This game and the USMNT performance at Copa America has turned me off on soccer - at least until I get the foul taste out of it all out of my mouth. I haven't watched any futbol game since Saturday and have no immediate plans to change that.
I saw something today predicting 118 degrees in Redding. It's going to be a hot time in the old town tonight!
Just got back from St. Louis Saturday evening. Great stadium and fun trip even though Quakes didn’t show up.
Saw St Louis City merchandise at the grocery store, the airport, farmers market and the history museum and flags on houses and businesses around town. Local news gave equal play with the Cardinals.
