Adam Levine is on my television. He tends to have that effect on me. :inlove:

But it's not like the Trump folks are immune from sex scandals and, for them, it's been ages since the last one.

We'll find out the identity of the person who is really in charge of all of this is Canary M. Burns.

I totally see Ivanka in some cuckold/pegging relationship with Jared. She is surrounded by arrogant asshole, the mouthy type, it fits more that her man should be like that than not.

Depends on what the communications were about.

If they are legit legal matters, they are going to be excluded as privileged by the taint team.

If they are part of Cohen's crime operations then the FBI will be rather interested I think.

So we are left with a rather strange non-denial by Hannity on the one hand claiming to have no significant legal instruction briefed to Cohen, yet on the other hand seemingly asserting privilege relating to some discussions.

I guess there are two possibilities here.

The thrust of the States submissions is that Cohen is not running a legal practice, and thus the vast majority of the communications seized relate to "business" and are not privileged. Also State alleges that Cohen is running a criminal enterprise. Therefore - per Avenatti, anyone caught up in the swoop who corresponded with Cohen in the last 20 years better be hoping they weren't discussing crime stuff.

The other way to look at it is that Hannity really is a 3rd client - but I wonder if the 3rd client thing is merely Hannity's desperate attempt to assert privilege, rather than an actual thing.

For example, might Cohen have coordinated with Hannity before the election?

Is such a link unrealistic given the flow of RT propaganda that spews from Hannity?

This is a key point. Given the shocking sex stuff Fox has lawyered for it's other hosts, why does Hannity have Cohen for a lawyer?

Unless he doesn't have Cohen for a lawyer and he is involved with Cohen for other reasons.

As I said earlier, I think it is more simple than that. Cohen is a fixer, not lawyer in the way we normally think. He really is the guy who knows whose ass need to be kicked, threatened, or paid off, and is willing to do the dirty work. And let us not forget, he has been working for 45 for 12+ years, stating several times he will make things right in favor of 45. I don't think for one minute that Cohen did anything for the primary purpose of helping Hannity.

I agree the connection is likely to be Trump

And one thing Cohen seems to have been doing for Trump is handling the Russia connect

Hannity: (After segment) So I got a legal question for you...
Cohen: My "legal fees" start at $600.00 an hour.
Hannity: What can I get for 10 bucks?
Cohen: Let's go to the alley and you'll find out.
Hannity: (Slides tenner over to Cohen) Oooh you're a dirty lil boy, aren't you? Are you on the Taint Team?
Cohen: (Shrugs) Meh...it's a living. And taints will cost ya $20.
Cohen: (Opens large notebook. Scribbles "Client #3 - Sean Hannity, taints". Notes below "Get more freaky Republican clients tomorrow".)

I've seen this comparison made a few times on Twitter, and I find it annoying. Cohen is nothing like Michael Clayton. If you recall, Clayton is only reluctantly a fixer because he's good at it and actually does have connections. He was previously a prosecutor and a litigator and was good at those things as well, as discussed during one of his conversations with the Sydney Pollack character when he's lamenting what he's now become and wants out.

Cohen has no previous background in anything that legitimately resembles practicing law. He's a hack, he's not smart, and as we're seeing, he's not even good at being a fixer. He's nothing like Michael Clayton.

    Schrodinger's cat's privilege.

Seriously, what kind of brain vomits forth this kind of stuff? Is it that Hannity is so wrapped up in epistemic closure that he doesn't understand the difference between rational argument and assertion? Is he that freaked out?
We are all sorry to have maligned a fictitious character.

Seriously, I'm deeply, truly sorry that I took the brown acid.

He's nothing like Michael Clayton, but he did pass the bar and get a job lawyering (as a personal injury lawyer) which is better than most of the graduates of that crap college. He's got a few brains and a little knowledge, but he got sent to the majors with no idea what that meant.

Like most of the Trump crew.

I love how on shows they are calling him "not a neighborhood guy" to say he ain't built for hard time. It is adorable.

I think this is what happens when people go peak Fuhrer bunker

They think there is no consequences to anything anymore

Remember GWB's people got to this way of thinking when they were going to remake the middle east and "make their own reality"

.....not sure if serious. But if you are --- I find the vast majority of legal drama movies to be uninteresting and/or so unrealistic as to be silly. However, I thought Michael Clayton was brilliant. And no, I'm not saying that corporate tortfeasors murdering people to avoid ruinous litigation is the norm, but the film, at least IMO, captured that moral ambivalence that often is part and parcel of working in a corporate litigation setting. Wilkinson's performance, especially his opening rant, was amazing --- a steroid-fueled version of the internal dialogue that many litigators probably experience once or twice in their careers.
